WhatsApp Has Launched New Feature of Digital Payment | Exciting? :

Hey Readersss…

Here is another surprise from WhatsApp, Yes! The Facebook-owned messaging app is launched one of biggest and cool feature for users. WhatsApp has finally started testing the digital payments feature it is been working on since early 2017 that will allow people to send money to other WhatsApp users, excluding merchant accounts the feature is currently for beta users (v2.18.41 on Android and iPhone v2.18.22) in India. If you have these versions on your smart phones then friend you are lucky ;) .

The payment feature would take advantage of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and include support by a number of Indian banks, including State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank and many more. Users must configure the feature by first verifying their phone number via SMS and choosing a bank. The option to send a payment is then available from the main WhatsApp interface, in the same area where you can also share a photo, video, file, contact or location into your chat.

India has the largest number of WhatsApp users, with around 200 million. People using it daily, Facebook and WhatsApp will definitely announce the feature when it goes live for everyone. When it does, it'll be competing against other digital wallets in the country, such as Google Tez, Hike, Paytm which allows people to make payments.

And guys I’ll tell you how to start payment on your WhatsApp beta in my next blog. So stay connected :)

I hope you liked it…
